ABOUT
Jade Segre is a psychodynamic therapist practicing virtually and in person in New York City. She is currently training at the Greene Clinic in addition to working at a private practice. She works with individuals and couples and has specialties in gender and sexuality, life transitions, relationship issues and indifidelity, college students, and working with the parents of trans kids.
Individuals ▼
In individual work Jade helps patients identify the relational patterns in their life, like those of conflict, disconnection, loneliness, and fear. Through interrogating cycles from the past and their manifestations in the present, Jade helps patients feel more connected, not only to those around them, but more importantly to themselves. Individual work will help build a bridge to new ways of living and being, to new possibility. We can meet once or twice weekly, whatever feels appropriate for each individual person.
Couples ▼
Couples work is dynamic and challenging, it asks partners to witness each other, to build a deeper understanding, to reach beyond your cycles of disconnection and find a more attuned and connected relationship. Whether your relationship feels stagnant and you're seeking your spark or your relationship is filled with conflict and you'd like to find calm, couples therapy can work. By developing insight into your relationship, alongside new skills for listening and communicating, you can shift the cycles that bring you in.
Parents of trans kids ▼
In my work with the parents of trans children, I support parents in the process of supporting their child. Whether your child is just beginning to explore their gender identity or years into medical transition, many parents find themselves uncertain of how to connect with and care for their children. I faciliate the process of discovering new language, new understanding, and new insights into your family dynamics that will change as your child does, too. I work with parents of minors as well as parents of adult-children. I will see individual parents or parents as couples.
